Was watching a program on the revolution of our communication tools. From walkie talkies to pagers to handphones - it's amazing how they have improved to make our life easier and simpler.

I still remember my very first pager. A yellow motorola jazz. A small rectangular gadget with 3 simple buttons. Numbers were used to represent words - 512 means "wo ai ni" (i love you), 532 means "wo xiang ni" (i miss you) and lots more which I cannot remember.

And the alphanumeric function. Ah yes, who can forget that? We used to call our dear operator uncles and aunties, giving them our messages (mushy at times) to be sent to the receiver. How about those who stand in front of the public phones, feverishly punching numbers in a systematic way?

743232825321813273 - what does this chain of numbers represent? The answer..

"74 = S 32 = E 32 = E 82 = U 53 = L 21 = A 81 = T 32 = E 73 = R" (See U Later)

Interesting, isn't it? Communication is made faster and easier now. Not only can handphones be used for making calls and sending sms-es, you can also play games and surf net. But ironically, it is this convenience that drifts people apart. So is advanced technology helpful or harmful?

Just smile and wave..

Watched Madagascar 2 with my team mates yesterday. I totally enjoyed the movie! Was laughing so hard that I hardly had time to eat my popcorn! I can hear my own laughter surrounding the cinema. It was really crazily funny! Well, there were scenes that brought tears to my eyes. But I won't want to spoil the fun by saying it. You have to watch the movie to find out! =)

My adorable team mates (from top left) Hui Pheng, Arabelle, Evelyn, Joyce, Zoen, Susan, Chee Cheng, Maureen, Moi, Janice, Sally and Hwee Kheng

P/S: If you realised, most of us are wearing tees with animal prints. From mouse to lion to monkey to sheep to panda, just to match our theme "Wild Jungle, Animal Fun"!!

CONDEMN ENG WAH SUNTEC!!

This is a vulgar entry. Don't continue reading if you can't take it.

To be frank, Eng Wah has never been my favourite. Unless I'm left with no choice. And starting today, I'm totally condemning them. Serious.

Watched Madagascar 2 today with my team mates. Bought the usual popcorns and drinks, and grape flavor mentos. The lady placed the mentos over the counter, but the cashier took a new stick from the display, scanned the bar code and put it back. Not knowing what to do, I -stupidly- put the one on the counter back to the display. (Yes, it's partly my fault. But I am not going to apologize. Cos.. read on.)

So in the end, I didn't get my mentos. When I realised it, I went back to POLITELY asked them for one. And you know what the f***ing cashier say?

"Then just take one la. Why say so much? Same what!"

WTH! Excuse me, I'm the customer here. You're in the service industry, but I seriously don't see ANY service! That idiotic cashier was damn f***ing rude! If you don't like your job or have problem being polite and nice to the customers, I advice you to get a life and change another job! In that way, you don't have to bear with me and I don't need to tolerate you!!

Really spoilt my day man! But heck, I don't care cos I am SO NOT going back there EVER AGAIN!
