"When I call my friends, they will put down everything and talk to me.."

This is what a friend told me today. It all started out when he said he wanted to call me from the States. I told him not to call on a weekday cos I will be busy at work and won't have time to talk. The last time he called, I was having lunch with my boss. Bad timing.

Being my friend, I kinda expect him to understand that my work is important to me and I need to stay focus. Instead, he told me that it all depends on how high he is on my priority list (not quoting his exact words..) Duh! What he expect me to do? Put down all my work and talk to him during office hours? I don't know how his other friends do it, but in my case, sorry, it can't be done.

Dear friend, if my words sound harsh in any way, I apologise. And seriously, there's no need for You to apologise cos you did no wrong. I just don't understand why you can't understand..

20th July Sunday 6.45am

While -probably- half of Singapore were still asleep, Jo Gret and I reached the Padang. It was still pitch dark but many of the runners were already at the meeting point, all excited and getting ready for the run.

My colleagues, same batch who did JPmorgan with me =)

A tired moi after the run [p/s: see how the words "see how you run" fitted nicely above my head? heh..]

Even till now, I still find it hard to believe that I actually enjoy running. Well, probably not the run itself, but the pain and tiredness that it brings. It somehow reminds me that I am still alive. Weird, right? The more pain and tiredness I feel, the more I tell myself I can't give up. I guess it's all in the mind. But jogging really trains the endurance and determination of one's mind. Never give up, never say die. =)

It's finally here!!

The moment I've been waiting for is finally here! Today I received a letter from SIM, informing me about the Degree Conferment and Awards Ceremony. I'm finally able to wear the gown and trencher and receive my degree! *happy*

"Baby, too bad you're unable to be there. But I know you share my joy and happiness and will always be around me. I love you.."

Top of the world

It was my first time at Loof - a rooftop bar at Odeon Towers. Though being outdoor, it was surprisingly cooling. Probably because of the huge fans and the rather windy night so the atmosphere was pretty good.

The place we were sitting was right beside the edge of the balcony so the view was awesome! Cool night breeze, starry sky, awesome view and a bunch of long time friends to talk and laugh all worries away. What more can I ask for?

June ordered this - Gummiberry. A mixture of berries and gin, with blowtorch meringue (whipped egg white with sugar) on top - definitely a big hit with ladies. Don't order the White Chocolate Martini! It's pretty strong, smells like chocolate but definitely don't taste like one. Disappointing. The Mojito is good.

P/S: Realised all my friends' names starts with 'J' ? Heh.

Please be more careful.

Heard an upsetting news last night. Something unpleasant happened to my friend, M. Not sure if it was intentional or the effect of booze, some guy took advantage of M and they only knew each other that very night through a common friend! What makes me angry was that M was too shocked to react and let him off just like that! *BLOOD BOIL*

I was pretty shocked when I first heard it. I do know that guys take advantage of girls in clubs or pubs, and most of the time are intentional, but kissing on the lips is WAY TOO MUCH! I mean, c'mon man, WTF!!

But come to think of it, sometimes the problem lies with the signs that girls give out. Sharing cups, being a little too close or even allowing the other party to put his arms around you. All these little actions may give men the misconception that you are easy and out to play.

So girls, please be more careful and learn to protect yourself. =)

犬と私の10の約束

Watched this touching movie (10 promises to my dog) with Jo yesterday. A refreshing movie amidst the current showing thrillers and action movies. The plot may be simple, yet with a meaningful lesson behind it.

The last 20 mins is the highlight of the movie; almost the entire cinema was filled with sniffing sounds. Watch it to feel it for yourself. But remember to bring lots of tissues...
