First encounter with Ballet

Never been a great fan of ballet. Men in tights and classical music ain't my cup of tea. Despite that, I volunteered for the Giselle in the Park performance organised by the Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) down at the Fort Canning Park.

I have to admit, I was mesmerised by this graceful yet rather torturing form of art. Each and every movement, spins and turns are choreographed to bring the audience closer to the story and the emotions of the characters. The dancers, who moved with much grace, have to be on their toes most of the time. I really pity those feet.

Perhaps I should start cultivating my interests in ballet. =)

My Yellow Sunshine Part II

It's a true beauty with 14" TrueLife display, 3gb memory, 250gb hard disk, 2.0 mega pixel web cam and a upgraded graphic card! *wolf whistle*

I'm still trying to get use to windows vista, which is slightly different from the windows xp that I am, or rather, we are used to. The functions are more or less similar, just a bit of settings and display differences. Frankly, I've yet to explore all of its functions. But I know I will be loving it! Cos I already am! =)

My current wallpaper p/s the background color is yellow too. heh.

Updates!

I finally got a new 13" laptop for office use! The new lappie is so much lighter than my previous 15" antique one. Though it's light and easy to carry, the sound quality isn't very good. Plus, 13" is way too small for watching anime or movies. Really bad for the eyes. >.<

Not forgettng my new 19" wide screen monitor! Still trying to adjust. Hiak hiak.

Celebrated my colleague's birthday. She's only 19 this year! Gosh, that's like Sooo looong ago for me. What was I doing when I was 19? Don't remember. Oh well, age is just 2 numbers. =p

Finally, went to Cuba Libre for dinner and mojitos with my girlfriends - to celebrate my confirmation at work, and to thank them for being there for me during the most difficult period in my life. Love ya, girls! =)

It's not where you're from. It's where you're at.

Just got back from an awesome dance movie - step up 2. Unlike step up, which focused more on the love relationship between Tyler (Channing Tatum) and Nora (Jenna Dewan), this movie focuses more on dancing.

I must say, Chase (Robert Hoffman) and Andie (Briana Evigan) are way hotter than Tyler and Nora (personal opinion, no offences), making this sequel better and sexier. Don't believe? Check out this last battle showdown clip! (kindly pardon the poor quality)

Not forgetting a little salsa element in the movie, though it's rather hip-hopish. =)

Go watch it for the dance moves, not the storyline.
