Talented youth

Nathan Hartono
-
described as a young Michael Buble by Millenium & Copthorne Press. The biggest difference? Nathan's just 15!

Went for his concert with Dear today. I must say, a boy his age, he has a wonderful voice. This being his first ever solo concert, he delivered all songs beautifully. Plus he actually took out his D-cam and started taking the photos of the audience in the middle of the concert!
As usual, the band never failed to amaze me. Dazzling performance. Nathan's voice is brilliant but he gotta brush up his body language. =)

Dear and me, eating choco banana.

It's BRUNCH time!!

What's one of the best way to bond a couple? Cooking, of course! From choosing and buying the ingredients, to preparing and cooking the meal. That's what Dear and I did today; we made brunch together.

It was so much fun! Though we were a little messy in the kitchen, the food taste good.

Stuffed omelette.

Mediterranean salad.

I totally enjoyed myself. Thank you, Dear! Let's do it again! =)

Free size?

Previously, I wrote an entry about clothes that come in 'free size'. Once again, I was baffled by it. Last Saturday, after trying a pair of pants that wouldn't fit, I requested for a bigger size, but was told that it is free size.

How amusing.

'Free size' refers to clothes that fit everybody; anyone can wear it. Seriously, if I can't fit into that pair of pants, I don't think a plus size lady would come anywhere close.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not a size-ist. This is merely an example.

Probably, the term 'free size' can only be applied to slim or skinny people. They are the ones who can fit in almost anything.

A bunch of my good friends came over for a movie marathon and crab party last Friday. We had fried hokkien mee, chicken wings and chilli crabs!

Mouth watering food prepared by my mom!

8 medium crabs from Taiwan, with egg and roe. Only $78!

Too bad we didn't take any group photo. Let's do this again, shall we? =)

Heavenly chocolate

Attention all chocolate lovers! Do check out this Max Brenner Chocolate Bar at esplanade. Their chocolate fondue is the best I've eaten so far! Plus the ambience is NICE!

3 types of chocolate - white, milk and dark - with fresh fruits, mashmallows and bread. Small $20 medium $30.

Do give it a try. You won't regret! =)

Late nite @ esplanade

Went for the concert - My favourite things by Michaela Therese - some time back. She sung many songs, mostly her own creations. The band was fantastic, especially the keyboardist and the drummer! 2 thumbs up! But too bad Michaela's voice can't really match up; I find her voice too screechy, almost like she's shouting. Maybe because the band was really loud. But she's really sweet, plus the sound system is damn good, so okay lar.

Alex n my failed attempt to cam-whore.

I'm glad there's this place for all art lovers to gather. Artists are able to showcase their talents while we can enjoy their splendid performances, be it music drama or dance.

Speaking of which, anyone wanna watch this performance with me?

29 Jun 07, Fri, 9.30pm, Recital Studio
(60mins, no intermission)

He’s been described as a young Michael Buble by Millenium & Copthorne Press. But the biggest difference between the two singers is that Nathan's just 15!

Nathan burst into the music scene last year with his participation in Teenage magazine's Teenage Icon competition. He bagged the first prize and developed a following with his polished singing style and charismatic stage presence. He soon found himself sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the business in prestigious events like ChildAid, Silver Screen Awards, Entrepreneur of The Year Awards and Chingay 2006. He's even made a debut 11-track albumin between school, rugby and choir practice! Entitled Life, Love and All That Jazz, this pop-jazz recording shows off the versatility of Nathan’s performance and is all set to catapult Nathan into national consciousness.

Gatsby the Ad

Many of you should have seen it on tv. Yes, I'm talking about the gatsby ad by Takuya Kimura. Jack's brother did a hilarious version.

Check out this original version.

Now look at this one.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Heh!
