Away from the usual crowded shopping malls, this cafe is located in Purvis street, just 1 street away from Seah street.
With its pinkish signboards, little hearts hanging at the entrance and colorful deco, many may think this is a girls' hangout place. Frankly, the girlish style might not attract many male customers, but their food sure will!
Isn't this menu adorable? AahHh~
Ok, let's begin with the starters..
Dish #1 MAMBO JUMBO
Fries topped with melted cheese, chicken sausage and ham, with black pepper sauce as the base. This is definitely for all cheese lovers out there! The cheese is rich but not too much to cover the rest of the ingredients.
Dish #2 GARLIC CRUSTED SCALLOPS
The scallops are covered with garlic and baked to perfection! How do I put it? Simply Yummy-licious! *Slurp~
See how FAT the scallops are? OMG! Drool~
Time for the main courses..
Dish #3 BLACK ANGUS RIB-EYE
According to Alex, who went to try out this new cafe with me, the steak wasn't done the way he wanted. So he requested for a new piece. Apparently the 2nd piece also wasn't done the way he wanted. =(
Dish #4 PORKY ONIONS
Sauteed pork chops with caramelised onions. The pork chops are a little too hard for my liking. BUT the veges and onions are simply heavenly!
This is a cafe where the starters are way better than their main courses. How weird. But I will still recommend this cafe to my friends provided they just order the starters and side dishes. Heh.
Something extra..
I tried out the new cheesy fondue pizza with Valerie and Ben sometime back. I was surprised that you can actually choose any type of pizza as your base crust.
As 'traditional' and 'bored' people, we chose the usual hawaii pizza. The cheese fondue was ok, the cheese in the pizza hardens quite fast, so you have to really eat it while it's hot. =)
