I've been watching Desperate Housewives lately. In season 2, Mike was ran over by a car and has been in a coma since, and Susan has been faithfully visiting him. Then she met Ian, whose wife is also in a coma due to a horse ride accident. Soon they developed a liking for each other.

I wonder how long can a person stay faithful to a partner who might be in a coma forever. Ethically, the person is expected to stay loyal till the end. But is it fair for a person to stay with another who might never wake up? It's a battle between the heart and the head. Which one will you choose?

Let's say you choose to let go and start afresh. Just when your new relationship starts to grow, your ex wakes up from the coma. What will you do now? Go back or move on?

But what if your ex wakes up but don't remember a thing and can't recall you or the love you two had? Will you try to make him remember or just move on?

Follow your heart or your head? Tough choice, eh?
