Earlier in January, I asked if anyone wanna catch this with me. Well, I watched it last Saturday. The first thing that caught my eye was the stage. It was in the middle of the room and the audience were seated on both sides. Unlike your usual stage, you can watch the actors in close proximity and see each and every expression. There were sunflowers decorating the sides of the stage, giving it a more lively touch.
As the story goes - a young couple, after 10 years of marriage, is vexed with the uneventful life that they have been leading. Hoping to spice up their marriage with passion, they decide to play a game in which both have affairs that last 100 days, without consummation.
The wife got pregnant (well, she was drunk when she Did it. So, alcohol is Bad For Health and Mind!) and end up in a divorce, though the couple was still pretty much in love. How sad.
This play explore the fidelity and human nature. Whether or not a person can stay faithful to the partner depends on the individual's mindset. Well, the husband kept to the rule and didn't sleep with another woman, right? What's interesting is that the wife was the one who went off the track instead of the husband. Hey, don't blame me for stereotyping, that's usually the case okay. Heh.
Anyway, Kudos to Lim Hai Yan, who written and directed this play. I'm glad I watched it.
